Ambulatory Adaptive Tennis originates from the acronym TAP, with origins in Chile. It translates into playing from the foot up. Or Adaptive Standing Tennis. Jeff Bourns started one of the first programs in the United States in Houston, TX in 2014.
Adaptive Standing Tennis is tennis adapted for individuals with differing physical or cognitive abilities. We all adapt playing tennis, disability or not. Tennis is the game of adjustments. Tennis is for everyone.
